A recording of Beethoven's Missa Solemnis with an all-star cast: soprano Christine Brewer, mezzo-soprano Jane Henschel, tenor Anthony Dean Griffey, and bass-baritone Eric Owens, and the New York Choral Artists directed by Joseph Flummerfelt. The program also includes Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Hindemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes by Weber.
Anthony Gill conducts the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and is the soloist in clarinet concertos by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Boulogne, Chevalier de Saint George. The program also includes Benjamin Britten’s Sinfonietta.
