As theater companies have had to find ways to move their productions online, some are turning to the model of the old-fashioned radio play, with their spectacular sound effects and specialized writing. This Saturday on A Tempo (5/16 at 7 pm), A Tempo will look at two groups that are exploring these possibilities. Host Rachel Katz will speak with Brian Crowe, director of education at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and director of Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts Theatre Program's production of The Winter's Tale, which was adapted into a radio play, and MFA student and actor Aline Stokes; and also with Caroline Breder-Watts, executive director of Arts Radio Network, which has expanded production of its Radio on The Lake Theatre radio plays.
All the latest on all things Broadway and Hollywood.
