A Tempo: NJ Theaters Look Ahead to (Re)Opening Nights
Theaters across New Jersey are preparing to reopen after they were shuttered by the Coronavirus pandemic nearly 18 months ago. The New Jersey Theatre Alliance has asked theaters to sign its "Opening Night, Opening Right" pledge to follow local, federal and medical guidelines for safety to protect audiences, artists and staff, and A Tempo this week checks in with the Alliance and several theaters about these plans. Host Rachel Katz will speak with Alliance Executive Director John McEwen, Alliance President and Rutgers University Theater Arts professor Marshall Jones III, and McCarter Theatre Artistic Director Sarah Rasmussen, as well as Gitty Getlik, artistic director and managing director of Kelsey Theatre at Mercer County Community College. Listen Saturday (9/11) at 7 pm.
