As performing arts organizations continue to welcome audiences back for in-person performances after the pandemic shut-down, A Tempo this Saturday (11/13 at 7 pm) looks at two such opening events. Washington National Opera last week launched its season with Come Home: A Celebration of Return, a night of opera highlights that included a tribute to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, an ardent opera fan and regular WNO attendee, who passed away in September 2020. Her family recently donated her piano, opera recordings and some other memoriabilia to WNO, and A Tempo host chats with General Director Timothy O'Leary about the donation, Ginsburg's support of young artists, and the return to live performances. This week's program also includes a conversation with Kat Ross Kline, director of Pierrot Productions' "33 Variations", which opens at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Nov. 27.
