Westminster Conservatory Noontime Recitals begin Sept. 21

The 22nd season of Westminster Conservatory at Nassau will open on Sept. 21 at 12:15 p.m., with a recital of music for piano. The soloist, Clipper Erickson, is a member of the teaching faculty of Westminster Conservatory of Music. The recital will take place in the Niles Chapel of Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau Street, Princeton, New Jersey, 08542. It is open to the public free of charge.

The program will comprise Beethoven's Sonata No. 23 in F Minor - Appassionata, a new work by Wieslaw Rentowski, compositions by Dr. Randy Bauer and compositions by former Westminster Conservatory faculty member Laurie Altman.

Erickson made his debut at age 19 as a soloist with the Young Musicians Foundation Orchestra in Los Angeles. He has studied at The Juilliard School, Yale University and Indiana University, and has trained with renowned British pianist John Ogdon. Erickson is active in premiering and recording new works and has won top prizes at international competitions. He performs as both a soloist and recitalist in various U.S. venues, including Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The next Westminster Conservatory at Nassau recital will take place on Oct. 19.

This program is made possible in part by the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission through funding from the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
