Gabriela Montero: Just 'Plain' Improvising

Gabriela Montero has had a terrific year as a classical pianist: making her debut with the New York Philharmonic, releasing two solo CDs on a major label, getting profiled on 60 Minutes. But Montero is not only a classical pianist; she also loves to improvise. Montero joins host Fred Child for another edition of "Sing It and Wing It." We'll get a guest on the phone — in this case, it's Patricia Abdelnour, cultural attache at the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington, D.C. — to sing a song for Montero, and she'll improvise around it on the spot. Abdelnour picks a rowdy tune from the central plains of Venezuela, where the cowboys ride.
