Although there’s no theme or topic linked to this week’s episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys, The Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler nevertheless has put together a fascinating and ear-catching program.
“If you listen to this show often, you’ve probably figured out that I thrive on variety and contrast,” Distler says. “This week we've got the ‘Uber-Romantic’ Joseph Marx, the chameleon-like Frank Bridge, the craggy Thelonious Monk in the lineup alongside Horowitz’s Chopin, Ashkenazy’s Liszt and a gorgeous Nocturne by Judith Lang Zaimont. And speaking of Monk, there’s a selection from my upcoming TNC Music release ‘Fearless Monk' - shameless self-promotion, of course."
Tune in Tuesday night March 12th at 10 for Between the Keys, hosted by Jed Distler, and proudly sponsored by Jacobs Music Company. This program is an exclusive production of The Classical Network and WWFM.Org.
