Donald Manildi brings IPAM treasures to Between the Keys on July 30th

Donald Manildi returns to the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys with treasures from the International Piano Archives at the University of Maryland, which has flourished in size, scope and importance under his curatorial watch since 1993.

“I’ve been anticipating Don’s return to the program for some time,” says Jed Distler, the Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence, and the creator, producer and host of Between the Keys. “He’s brought an amazing assortment of pianistic treasures to share with us this week, including quite a few performances that I had not heard before. However, I’m not going to give away the play list, because I want listeners to tune in and to be as surprised and delighted as I was when we recorded the show a few weeks ago. And, in one case, I was not so much surprised as shocked by one particular performance of a Scriabin Etude.”
