The Dress Circle: Dinah Shore Sings Broadway and Hollywood

Listeners are in store for an hour of wonderful singing on this week’s “Dress Circle”  (5/13  7:00 p.m.) when Dinah Shore is featured singing songs from Broadway and Hollywood including songs from her film outing with Alan Jones and Robert Merrill entitled “Aaron Slick from Punkin Crick."

We’ll also hear songs from the cast recording she made for Irving Berlin’s “Call Me Madam,” replacing Ethel Merman who was signed to a different label.  We’ll also have songs from other musicals like Berlin’s “Annie Get Your Gun” and a variety of other sources, so join us for some songs sung the way they were meant to be; no yodeling, no strange affectations – just great singing.

Michael is program host and host of the WWFM Sunday Opera, Sundays at 3 pm, and co-host of The Dress Circle, Sundays at 7 pm.
Ted Otten is co-host of The Dress Circle
