Inside Between the Keys with Jed Distler @NYU

The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler gives a special presentation as part of New York  University's annueal Summer Piano Intensive on Wednesday August 7th at 3:30 PM.
 
Distler will speak about his innovative ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning radio program Between the Keys, taking the audience behind the scenes through his process of selecting, editing and producing more than 220 episodes to date.
 
"Creating each Between the Keys episode is not unlike putting together a recital program," says Distler. "I'm constantly thinking about pacing, contrast, the flow between musical selections and spoken introductions, the overall timing, and, above all else, how all of these elements can add up to a satisfying whole. And to make it look and sound easy!"
 
The event takes place at 75 Third Avenue at East 11th Street, Room C205, and is free and open to the public.
