IRIS Wired, featured broadcasts by the innovative IRIS Orchestra based in Germantown, Tennessee, and led by founder, conductor and Artistic Director Michael Stern, this Friday (2/8 at 8 pm) presents a program of works by composers who were considered child prodigies. Included in the program are a string symphony by Mendelssohn composed when he was a teen, as well as mature symphonies by Haydn (No. 103) and Mozart (No. 40). Also featured is Samuel Barber's Souvenirs.
