The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler is a guest artist during NYU's Summer Piano Intensive, where New York University faculty and students gather for two weeks of concerts, classes and lecture/demonstrations.
He will play some of his own compositions and transcriptions during an Artist Faculty Recital, sharing the stage with fellow pianists Eduardus Halim, Yoojung Kim, Manuel Laufer and Robin McCabe.
This recital takes place at Steinway Hall, 1133 Sixth Avenue New York City, on Friday August 2nd at 7:30 PM. Admission is free to the public; doors open at 7:00 PM.
And on Wednesday August 7th at 3:30 PM at New York University, Jed will speak about his work with The Classical Network and offering a "behind the scenes" look at his ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys.
