As the extent of the threat posed by the coronavirus started to become apparent, Luke Fleming, Artistic director of the Manhattan Chamber Players, headed down to be with his family in New Orleans, where he also organizes the Crescent City Chamber Music Festival. Feeling the sting of lost freelance gigs, and understanding the impact it was having on his fellow musicians, he saw an opportunity to help, by organizing "CO-VIDeo" weekly online music festivals for each of his groups, each accompanied by a request for donations to provide some payment for the artists.
