Rhapsody in Blue - Live and On the Air - from Steamboat Springs' Strings Music Festival

Yoshi Yonekawa

This week's Friday Night's Concert (6/22 at 8 pm) is a very special 1930s-style radio program from the Strings Music Festival featuring the music of George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Vernon Duke and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The program is a recreated radio broadcast concert of the 1930s presented at the Strings Music Festival in Steamboat Springs, CO, with the Strings Festival Orchestra led by Loras John Schissel.

This concert features special guest host and well-known American sportscaster Verne Lundquist, and you'll hear from the composer himself! Wendy Chen is the soloist. Join host David Osenberg for this unique musical experience.
