Wednesday at noon (4-24) on Curtis Calls, from the graduation recital of harpist Heloise Carlean-Jones, we'll hear Sonata for Harp by Hindemith, a Fugue by J.S. Wednesday (3-27) at noon on Curtis Calls we'll hear chamber music for strings, winds and percussion by Chinese composer Chen Yi performed by students at the Curtis Institute of Music.  Chen Yi grew up in China during the Cultural Revolution and now teaches at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.

Wednesday at noon (3-20) on Curtis Calls we'll hear Mozart's Quintet for Piano & Strings, K. 452, two arrangements for cello and guitar of JS Bach's music & Brahms' Trio in A minor for clarinet, cello & piano.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon and Monday evenings at 10.

On Wednesday 3-13 at noon we'll hear Lachrymae by Benjamin Britten, Per questa bella mano by Mozart, Ferruccio Busoni's transcription of Bach's Chaconne and Rachmaninoff's Sonata No. 2.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute, Wednesdays at noon and Monday evenings at 10.

At noon on March 6th we'll hear students from the Curtis Institute of Music in Mozart's Sonata in B-flat major, K. 333, Chopin's Scherzo No. 2, the Sonata for Cello & Guitar by Radames Gnattali and Abyss Lustre for flute & harp.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon and Monday evening at 10.

On Wednesday, 2-27 at noon Curtis Calls will present a recital by violinist Ania Filochowska and pianist Michael Davidman.  We'll hear Tartini's Sonata in g minor "Devil's Trill," the Sonata No. 1 in G major by Johannnes Brahms and Curtis student Steven Franklin's Passacaglia and Rondo. Wednesday, 9-19 at noon on Curtis Calls we'll hear Chopin's Cello Sonata and Joseph Schwantner's Wild Angels of the Open Hills with words by Ursula Le Guin for soprano, flute and harp.  Performances from Curtis Institute student recitals, Wednesdays at noon and Monday evenings at 10.

This Wednesday at noon we'll hear violinist Stephen Tavani and pianist Michelle Cann in music by Beethoven, Britten and Sibelius from Tavani's graduation recital at the Curtis Institute last year.  He was  appointed Assistant Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra earlier this year.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute, Wednesdays at noon and Monday evenings at 10.
