In Wednesday's (1-24) Curtis Calls soprano Heather Stebbins sings songs by Sibelius, Barber, Wagner and Rachmaninoff.  Stebbins has appeared as a soloist with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Opera Philadelphia. 

Wednesday, 1-17 on Curtis Calls violinist Zeyu Victor Li is joined in his graduation recital by cellist Sang-Eun Lee, guitarist Ziaobo Pu and pianist Janice Carissa in Franck's Sonata and pieces by Astor Piazolla, Robert Beaser & John Halvorsen.  Li is now a member of the NY Philharmonic. Performances from the Curtis Institute, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday evenings at 10. 

Wednesday (1-10) at noon on Curtis Calls we'll hear Curtis students Joshua Halpern, cello & Ying Li, piano in Mendelssohn's Sonata No. 2.  Brandon Garbot, Grace Clifford, En-Chi Cheng & Timotheos Petrin play Bartók's 2nd String Quartet.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon, repeated the folowing Monday evening at 10. 

This Wednesday (01-03) at noon Curtis Calls presents music from the graduation recitals of percussionist Yibing Wang and guitarist Alec Holcomb.  We'll hear music bu Yasuo Sueyoshi, Iannis Zenakis, Eliot Carter, Isaac Albeniz, Radames Gnattali & Astor Piazolla.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute, Wednesdays at noon and Monday evening at 10. 

Wednesday, 1-2 at noon we'll hear Curtis Institute students in music by Yasuo Suey0shi, Iannis Xenakis, Eliot Carter, Isaac Albeniz, Radames Ganattali & Astor Piazzolla.  Performances from student recitals Wednesdays at noon and Monday evenings at 10.

This Wednesday (12-27) at noon hear students from the Curtis Institute perform a sonata by Domenico Scarlatti, Mozart's "Dissonance" Quartet and the Four Serious Songs by Johannes Brahms. 

Wednesday (12-20) at noon on Curtis Calls we'll hear students perform Brahms' Piano Quintet in f minor along with Alan Shulman's Theme & Variations for Viola.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday evenings at 10.

This week on Curtis Calls we'll hear Chelsea Wang perform the Mozart Sonata in F, KV 533/494 and Shostakovich's 2nd Piano Sonata. 


Wednesday (12-6) at noon on Curtis Calls we present music by Messager, Poulenc Schubert & Weber from the graduation recital of clarinetist Slavko Popovic.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday evenings at 10.

This week (11-22 at noon, repeated 11-27 at 10 PM) we'll hear Curtis students perform Ernest Bloch's Suite for Viola & Piano and the "Cloud Trio" by Kaija Saariaho on Curtis Calls.

This week (11-15 at noon & 11-20 at 10PM) Curtis Calls presents 16 of the 20 Lieder in Franz Schubert's 1823 song cycle "Die schoene Muellerin" performed by tenor Evan LeRoy Johnson & faculty member Mikael Eliasen.  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon and Monday evenings at 10.

This Week (11-8 at noon & 11-13 at 10 PM) on Curtis Calls, from the graduation recital of violinist Timmy Chooi:  Beethoven's "Spring" Sonata and Edvard Grieg's Sonata No. 3 in c minor.  Then Timmy's brother Nikki, a 2012 Curtis graduate, joins him for Pablo de Sarasate's "Navarra."  Performances from student recitals at the Curtis Institute, Wednesdays at noon and Monday evenings at 10.

This Wednesday (11/1 at noon & 11/6 at 10 PM) on Curtis Calls we'll hear Curtis students in Mozart's "Kagelstatt" Trio and mezzo Sofia Fiuza Hunt in songs by Musto, Berger, Heggie and others.  Music from student recitals at the Curtis Institute, Mondays at noon and Wednesday evenings at 10.

This Wednesday (10-24, noon) we'll hear Mozart's String Quartet in A, K 464 and the 2nd Piano Sonata by Rachmaninoff. Music from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon and repeated Monday evenings at 10.

Curtis Calls will feature music of Schumann, Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff and Faure in the graduation recital of cellist Timotheos Petrin.  Music from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday evening at 10.

This Wednesday (10-11 at noon) we hear students from the Curtis Insitute of Music perform a Bartok string quartet, solo oboe music by Telemann, a concert piece for trumpet & piano by Vassily Brandt and "Toward the Sea" for guitar and flute by Toru Takemitsu.  Curtis Calls, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday evenings at 10.

On  Curtis Calls, pianist Bolai Cao plays Prokofiev's Sonata No. 8 and the Brahms Trio in a minor, op. 114 is performed by Tianyi Shen, clarinet, Sang-Eun Lee, cell0 and Tianxu An, piano.  Music from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday evening at 10.

This Wednesday (9-27) at noon, from the graduation recital of violinist Shannon Lee, we hear Bach's Sonata in E, BWV 1016, Beethoven's Sonata in A, op. 30, no. 1 and the 1st Rhapsody by Bela Bartok.  Music from student recitals at the Curtis Institute, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday evening at 10.

This Wednesday at noon (9/20) we'll hear pianist Chelsea Wang in Beethoven's Sonata in E-flat major, op. 31 no. 3 and also the String Quartet in F op. 18 no. 1.  Music from student recitals at the Curtis Institute of Music, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday at 10 PM.

This Wednesday on Curtis Calls, flutist Niles Watson is joined by faculty pianist Michelle Cann in the Sonata by Pierre Dubois.  Emma Resimini, flute and Clara Gerdes perform the Sonata No. 2 by faculty member David Ludwig.  Also on the program is Mendelssohn's String Quartet No. 6 played by violinists Stephen Kim and Brandon Garbot, violist Zsche Chuang Rimbo Wong & cellist Audrey Anne.

This Monday at 10 pm we'll hear: Emma Resmini, flute & faculty pianit Hugh Sung in "Love Divided by" from Philip Glass; Pianist Daniel Hsu in Mussugorsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition;" Kyung Ji Min, violin with faculty pianist Jungeun Kim in Mozart's Rondo in C major, KV 373.

Wednesday (8-30) at noon we'll hear the Chopin Sonata and Beethoven's 3rd Sonata for piano and cello from the graduation recital of cellist Will Chow.  Curtis Calls, Wednesdays at noon, repeated Monday evening at 10.

This week on Curtis Calls we'll hear the Octet for Winds by Stravinsky along with music from the graduation recital of bassoonist Pearson Altizer by Marcel Bitsch, John Steinmetz and Richard Lavenda.
