Each year, the MacArthur Foundation selects 20-30 artists, scholars, and other professionals to for the MacArthur Fellowship, a five-year award that recognizes their creative and unique projects and approach to their work.
This year's group of MacArthur Fellows includes two musicians, the Pulitzer Prize-Winning composer Raven Chacon, and composer and pianist Courtney Bryan, who is also currently serving as Composer-in-Residence with Opera Philadelphia. A Tempo host Rachel Katz this week chats with Bryan about the award and some of her current projects.
