On this week's episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys, The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler presents further live performance fhighlights from the 16th Van Cliburn Competition that took place in Fort Worth in June 2022.
"I blogged about the competition for Gramophone, and heard each and every round from start to finish," says Distler. Because there were so many outstanding performances, I knew that our Between the Keys Cliburn program that aired on July 5th & 6th only scratched the surface, so to speak. So I'm happy to present more musical goodies that piano lovers are sure to enjoy."
Featured selections will include pianists Albert Cano Smit, Marcel Tadokoro, Denis Linnik and Masaya Kamei, along with the three top winners: Bronze medalist Dmytro Chinoi, Silver medalist Anna Geniushene and Gold medalist Yunchan Lim.
