Joseph Young conducts The Orchestra Now, which brings together musicians from some of the top conservatories and music schools, in this concert. The program features Julia Perry's Short Work for Orchestra, which was recorded by the New York Philharmonic in 1965, and Rachmaninoff's rhythmically expressive Symphony No. 3. Guest conductor Joseph Young, Music Director of the Berkeley Symphony and Resident Conductor of the National Youth Orchestra–USA at Carnegie Hall, leads the Orchestra in this performance from April.
