Princeton Symphony Broadcast Features Music with Princeton Connections

Rossen Milanov leads the orchestra in this broadcast performance Friday (3/1 at 8 pm) with counter-tenor Anthony Roth Costanzo.

In this performance recorded in January, Princeton Symphony Orchestra Music Director Rossen Milanov leads the orchestra in Lumina by Princeton Phd Composition candidate Nina Shekhar. Roth Costanzo, who also attended Princeton, performs the aria “Quella fiamma” from the opera Arminio by Handel, and in the Princeton premiere (and only second performance) of a work composed for him by past Princeton student Gregory Spears called Love Story, setting words by poet Tracy K. Smith, another a Princeton alum. The concert also includes a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. David Osenberg hosts the broadcast concert.
