Music for Spring from The Orchestra Now Monday Night

Music Director and Bard College President Leon Botstein leads the orchestra in this program of music evoking Spring themes.

This recent performance from earlier this month celebrates the freshness of nature and the blooming Spring around us. The two major works are the Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral” of Beethoven and the infamous ballet The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky. The program also features The Dawn of Spring by the early 20 th century Austrian-British composer Egon Wellesz.
