We’re promising all treats on this week’s Dress Circle (10/29 7:00 p.m.) for a “calendar art” program looking at Halloween through the lens of Broadway and Hollywood musicals and scores.
Since “This Is Halloween,” we’ll hear songs for “Trick or Treat” that only happens on “All Hallow’s Eve.” We’ve got an “Invoking Chant” for when “Something Is Coming to Tea” and for that special “Halloween Interlude.”
There’ll be “Ghosties and Ghoulies” as we “Move Toward the Darkness” as well as some other “ghostly” music.
Our musicals and films include “Captain Louie,” “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn,” “Meet Me in St. Louis” (stage and screen), “High Spirits,” “Which Witch,” and more.
Please join us for an hour of some spirited music this week, and don’t forget that bag of candy that you’ve been hoarding for a special occasion!
