We’re heading to the season when many people make wishes for prosperity, love, health, and more, and on this week’s Dress Circle (11/12 7:00 p.m.), we’re going to take a look at songs from thirteen musicals that make wishes.
We’ll “Make a Wish” with “Kimberly Akimbo” and find out that “It’s a Wishing World” through “Three Wishes for Jamie.” “Shout!” will leave us “Wishin’ and Hopin’” and “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” from “Phantom of the Opera”
Some of the other songs include “My Wish” from “Here’s Love,” “More I Cannot Wish You” from “Guys and Dolls,” and Gloria DeHaven will “Wish I Had a Braver Heart” from the film musical version of “Ah, Wilderness” entitled “Summer Holiday.”
There is more wishing to be had including two from Disney films, “Pinocchio’s” “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “Cinderella’s” “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes.”
