Have you heard? We’re coming to the fiscal year end when a great deal of the conversation turns to money. Not to be left out, this week’s Dress Circle (6/23 7:00 p.m.) is about money too! Well, the money found in the titles of songs from a variety of musicals.
We’ve got “Money, Money” and “Money, Money, Money” songs from the film version of “Cabaret” and the stage versions of “Mamma Mia!” and “Darling of the Day.”
The Money will keep “Rolling in” from “Evita.” You’ll hear “The Sound of Money” from “I Can Get It for you Wholesale,” and that “Money Rings Out Like Freedom” from “Coco.”
There’ll be “Money to Burn” from “Half a Sixpence” as we find “That’s the Way the Money Grows” from “The Card,” and there’s even an explanation regarding “How the Money Changes Hands” from “Tenderloin.”
Ultimately, we’ll turn to “Allegro” to learn that “Money Isn’t Everything,” especially for those who don’t have any!
There’s more, but we still want you to be surprised, so you’ll have to tune in to find out what else.
Oh, since it is the end of the fiscal year, you could also go to WWFM.org and click on DONATE to help The Classical Network meet its fundraising goal during this fiscal year end drive!
