A salute to Philadelphia composer Romeo Cascarino.

For the centenary of his birth (on September 28, 1922), it’s a salute to Philadelphia composer Romeo Cascarino, with soprano Dolores Ferraro, the composer’s wife for over 40 years, and music critic Tom Di Nardo. The hour will include rare recordings from the family archive, music from a Naxos release of Cascarino’s orchestral music, with JoAnn Falletta conducting, and a selection from his magnum opus, the opera William Penn. Celebrate 100 years of Romeo with a cavalcade of Cascarino, this Sunday at 10 pm.
