On May 17 & 18, 2021 we installed a brand-new antenna on the tower for our WWCJ station, Cape May, NJ. Our antenna suffered a damaging lightning strike, after which the best course of action was to have a new antenna built. We thought you'd enjoy seeing some photos of our installation event.
Although a little breezy, thankfully the weather was favorable for the engineering crew to climb the 448 foot tower. Our WWCJ - Cape May transmitter and tower are located in Swainton, between the Garden State Parkway and Avalon. The antenna is located 384 feet above ground. We're back up to full power on 89.1 serving the regional Cape May area and portions of Delaware and Maryland.
