WWFM Launches Live Broadcast Series of Bach at Noon Concerts by Bach Choir of Bethlehem

In its latest live broadcast series, The Classical Network will air Bach at Noon on the second Tuesday of each month.

The Classical Network is thrilled to announce that it will begin airing the Bach Choir of Bethlehem's monthly Bach at Noon concerts live on the second Tuesday of every month, beginning Jan. 10.

David Osenberg will host the broadcasts of these concerts, which take place at Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, PA, with three summer concerts at St. John’s Lutheran Church in downtown Allentown. Dr. Christopher Jackson, the choir's new artistic director and conductor, introduces each program with an engaging, informal talk. The Choir's Bach at Noon concert series, which is free and open to the public, launched in 2005 and features the choir, members of the Bach Festival Orchestra, and select soloists.

This month's program includes J.S. Bach's Cantata Der Herr denket an uns, BWV 196, and Sonata in D Minor, BWV 964, as well as Joseph Bodin de Boimortier's Sonata Op. 50, No. 2, Pierre Castrucci's Sonata Op 1, No. 7 for violin and continuo, and François Francœur's Sonata No. 12 from Book 1.

The concert will feature soprano Jessica Beebe, tenor Nathan Hodgson, baritone William Marshall, violinist Elizabeth Field, cellist Loretta O'Sullivan, and Charlotte Mattax Moersch on harpsichord.

More information on the series and the choir can be found here.
