The highly acclaimed Armenian-American pianist Kariné Poghosyan joins The Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler for an hour of talk and music on the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys on Tuesday October 29th at 10:00 PM.
“Kariné made quite a splash when David Osenberg aired her Khachaturian recordings a few years ago,” says Distler. “David alerted me to Kariné’s upcoming Carnegie Hall CD release recital taking place next week on November 4th, and thought she’s be a good fit for Between the Keys. I couldn’t agree more. Over espresso, we had a wide-ranging conversation about music, education, communication and how the piano world seems to build musical bridges internationally. I think listeners will enjoy getting to know Kariné Poghosyan both through her music and through her words.”
