We’re welcoming May in on this week’s Dress Circle (5/3 7:00 p.m.) with songs from the shows that opened in New York this month that had the largest number of performances. Our winner is the off-Broadway phenomenon “The Fantasticks” which ran for 42 years and amassed 17,162 performances at the Sullivan Street Playhouse and only closed because the building was sold. We’ll also hear from Cole Porter’s “Can-Can,” Richard Adler and Jerry Ross’ back-to-back successes “The Pajama Game” and “Damn Yankees,” Jerry Herman’s “Mame,” and Murray Yeston’s “Nine” as well.
It’s an evening of big winners this week, and we hope you’ll join us.
