IRIS Wired: 20th Anniversary 3 Week Special- Week One- spanning 20 years

This program begins our fifth season of  IRIS WIRED, The Classical Network’s bi-monthly series of concerts of the IRIS Orchestra, the innovative ensemble based in Germantown Tennessee and led by its Artistic Director Michael Stern. Though 2020 has been a nightmare for performance arts organizations…it still marks milestones and it is the 20th anniversary of Iris and Maestro Stern will join host David Osenberg via zoom to celebrate on the next three consecutive Friday evenings beginning with this program. This first broadcast presents performances of music by Bernstein, Stravinsky, William Grant Still, the incredibly talented Conrad Tao and Rimsky-Korsakov, performances that span the entire twenty years of Iris.
