A Tempo: Mystery and Music in 'The Song of Names'

The movie "The Song of Names" follows the mysterious disappearance of a violin prodigy after World War II and the search to find him by his childhood friend. The movie, directed by Francois Girard, is based on a novel by music commentator and author Norman Lebrecht and opened in select theaters in the U.S. and Canada on Christmas Day. This Saturday (1/4 at 7 pm) on A Tempo, host Rachel Katz will speak with Lebrecht about his novel, the film adaptation, and his latest book, "Genius and Anxiety: How Jews Changed the World, 1847 - 1947." The program also includes an interview with Chris Collier, executive director of Renew Theatres, which manages Princeton Garden Theatre, about an upcoming showing of the documentary "In Search of Beethoven."
