This year's Carnegie Hall Festival is offering a city-wide celebration of Afrofuturism with programs bringing together musical performances, dance, films and exhibits, and A Tempo this Saturday (2/19 at 7 pm) looks at some the events and issues in the spotlight. Host Rachel Katz will speak with Adriaan Fuchs, Carnegie Hall's Director, Festivals and Special Projects, Ayanna Cole, Director of Social Impact Programs for Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute, and Ytasha Womack, an Afrofuturism Curatorial Councilmember.
The Afrofuturism Festival kicked off Feb. 12 and continues through March.
