Known for its diverse line-up of concerts, classes, lectures and other programming, the 92nd Street Y has served as a community hub ever since it was founded in 1874 by Jewish German professionals. It recently announced a major renovation project, and a new name - "92nd Street Y, New York" (92NY for short) - to reflect its place in the New York community. This week on A Tempo, host Rachel Katz will speak with Amy Lam, vice president of Tisch Music, about these changes and about the 2022-2023 season, which will bring even greater diversity to the 92NY concert stages.
