A Tempo: On-Stage - Wellness Series at Carnegie Hall, and MCCC President in Kelsey Debut

A Tempo this Saturday (11/18 at 7 pm) looks at Carnegie Hall’s new Well-being Concert Series, and also includes an interview with Mercer County Community College President Deborah Preston about her upcoming stage debut at Kelsey Theatre.

Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute is the latest in a series of classical music presenting organizations and venues offering programs that combine music and some form of wellness, and A Tempo this week looks at its new Well-Being Concert Series. Host Rachel Katz speaks with Carnegie Hall Chief Education Officer and Weill Music Institute Director Sarah Johnson about the series, which includes musical and interactive sessions focusing on wellness, self-care and mindfulness.

This week also features a chat with Mercer County Community College President Deborah Preston, who studied theater in college and is making her local debut this month on stage at the college’s Kelsey Theatre in MTM Players and Kelsey’s production of Parfumerie.
