Dynamic Duos Return

"Back in September we had a program about music for multi-piano ensembles, and that got me thinking about the numerous piano duos who flourished in the 20th century’s first half," says Between the Keys' creator, producer and host Jed Distler, who is also The Classical Network's Artist-in-Residence.

This week’s episode explores great four hand teams in a wide variety of repertoire, including the Piano Duo Schnabel, Morley & Gearhart, Luboshutz & Nemenoff, Vronsky & Babin, Bartlett & Robertson, Rosi & Toni Grunschlag, Jacqueline Bonneau & Genevieve Joy, and Ursula Oppens & Paul Jacobs.

Jed apologizes for leaving out many other "dynamic duos" worth hearing. "There simply wasn't room, but we'll definitely have a follow-up episode, Still, I think you will be fascinated by this week’s range of artists and music; I certainly had fun digging through my collection for these jewels!"

Tune in Tuesday night at 10 , with a rebroadcast Wednesday at noon, exclusively on The Classical Network and WWFM.org.
