New Sounds Choral Host Highlights The Music of Hildegard of Bingen

Sounds Choral this Sunday (8/13 at 2 pm) welcomes its newest addition to its roster of hosts, Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek.

Dr. Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, who is on the Performance Faculty at Princeton University, explores the unique musical world of the 12th-century German Abess, theologian, composer, poet, philospher and herbalist Hildegard of Bingen. A force of nature during her lifetime, her music and legacy continue to reverberate today.

Dr. Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, mezzo-soprano, is a singer, conductor, educator, and composer. Dr. Horner-Kwiatek holds a D.M.A. from The Juilliard School and is on the Performance Faculty at Princeton University where she teaches voice. She is also the Director of Early Music Princeton Singers and is Associate Director of the Vocal Consort Certification Program. In addition, she is on the voice faculty at New York University and teaches music history and appreciation classes at The Juilliard School Extension Division.
