Dolce Suono Ensemble performs works for woodwind trio with piano on this broadcast concert Friday (4/28) at 8 pm.

Philadelphia-based Dolce Suono Ensemble presents a concert called "Three Shepherds," named for the trio for flute, oboe and clarinet by Russian composer Rodion Shchedrin featured in this performance. Other works on the program include music by three women composers - Alejandra Odgers, Ruth Gipps & Dana Suesse - as well as George Frideric Handel, W.A. Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Camille Saint-Saens, and Vittorio Monti. Dolce Suono founder, Artistic Director and flutist Mimi Stillman welcomes guest artists Katherine Needleman, oboe, Yao Guang Zhai, clarinet and Natalie Zhu, piano, in this performance;, which took place last June. Stillman joins David Osenberg as co-host for this broadcast.
