This week’s episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys takes listeners on a global journey of piano music inspired by geographical hotspots, tourist destinations, bustling cities and vast landscapes.

“It took me years before I became enthusiastic about traveling,” says The Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence and Between the Keys host Jed Distler. “But I think I’ve gotten better at it, and a little more open to adventure. However, I’ve always been open to musical adventure, and I think you’ll get quite a bit of that this hour, with works by Smetana, Gottschalk, Michael Torke, Leopold Godowsky, Gao Ping, John Adams, Astor Piazzolla, Scott Wheeler, Arthur Lourié and Liszt.”

You can go globetrotting with Jed Distler from the comfort of wherever you listen to WWFM.org, Tuesday night at 10, October 2nd, for Between the Keys, with Episode #171, aptly titled “Location, Location, Location.”
