The Dress Circle: Musicals from The Royal Shakespeare Company

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

Join the Dress Circle for a trip to London on this week’s program (1/21  7:00 p.m.)  as we look at five musicals that have been mounted by the Royal Shakespeare Company.  Of course, we’ll include music from the world-wide sensation “Les Miserables.”

You’ll also her songs from their adaptation of the M.G.M. musical “The Wizard of Oz” as well as their productions of Cole Porter’s “Kiss Me Kate,” “The Secret Garden” by Lucy Simon and Marsha Norman, and the musical version of Roald Dahl's beloved book "Matilda" by Tim Minchin.  We’re also including a number from a cabaret they produced which takes an often irreverent look at the works of the Bard entitled “The Shakespeare Revue.”
