Distant Mirror: Jan. 19 - Dufay's Mass "Se la face ay pale"

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

The mass Se la face ay  pale of Guillaume Dufay reveals a mixture of medieval strictness and Renaissance freedom, which is to be expected, written as it was by the man who stood at the watershed of both periods. Dufay is also the first composer to be prolific in both sacred and secular music.  Hear a performance of this great work on Friday's Distant Mirror as David Munrow directs the Early Music Consort of London.  Join Allan Kelly at 10pm.
