Picture Perfect - January 26: Korngold as Ghostwriter

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

Errol Flynn writes a ballet? Charles Boyer composes a tone poem? Claude Rains writes a cello concerto?  We’ll have three examples of movies about fictional composers. These, of course, required music written by the characters, in actuality provided by two-time Academy Award-winner Erich Wolfgang Korngold.  Tune in for selections from “Escape Me Never” (1947), “The Constant Nymph” (1943), and “Deception” (1946), as well as Korngold’s arrangements of music by Richard Wagner for “Magic Fire” (1955).  EWK spins corn into gold, this Friday at 6pm.
