New, Old and Unexpected Music on Between the Keys, March 17th

Episode 247 of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys is devoted to what the Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler calls “the new, the old and the unexpected.”

“Although I present my fare share of thematic programs and episodes with special guests, I love putting together non-thematic and eclectic, even unpredictable playlists sometimes,” says Distler, who created Between the Keys in 2015, and continues to host and produce the show. “So for this week, you can anticipate a wild mix of music, from the young Drew Petersen playing Griffes and a rarer-than-stardust pre-war 78 of Soulima Stravinsky playing Bach to music of John Le Montaine, David Korevaar’s striking interpretation of Chopin’s First Ballade, the Mendelssohn D Minor Trio, and the Urszula Dudziak/Adam Makowicz improvising duo. And lots more in between!.”

Tune in this Tuesday night at 10 for Between the Keys, an exclusive production of The Classical Network and WWFM.org.
