For this week’s episode of the ASCAP Deems Taylor Virgil Thomson Award winning program Between the Keys, the Classical Network’s Artist-in-Residence Jed Distler catches up with new and recent releases, projects, trends and ideas in the keyboard world.

You’ll hear excerpts from Susanne Kessel’s international commissioning project “250 Piano Pieces for Beethoven,” selections from new releases by harpsichordists Mahan Esfahani and Bertrand Cuiller,  an exquisite Arabesque by Fauré protégé Jean-Roger Ducasse, music by Julia Giertsen, the erhu/piano duo of Corey Hamm and Nicole Ge Li, plus the gifted young Reed Tetzloff playing music of Charles Tomlinson Griffes. And last but not least: a sneak preview from Lang Lang’s upcoming release devoted to J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations.

A splendid listening experience awaits you on Between the Keys, Tuesday at 10:00 PM, exclusively on The Classical Network and WWFM.org
