The Dress Circle: Songs from Shows We Were Thankful to Have Seen

Last week’s Dress Circle gave thanks for the wonderful talents of Angela Lansbury, and we’re continuing with our three-programs of thanks on this week’s Dress Circle (11/20 7:00 p.m.) with a program outlining our thanks for some of the shows we’ve been lucky to see.

Ted’s list includes London’s National Theatre production of “Guys and Dolls,” the original cast of “Follies,” Betty Buckley’s stellar performance in “Sunset Boulevard,” Gwen Verdon’s wonderful performance in “New Girl in Town,” and Kander and Ebb’s “70, Girls, 70.”

The performances Michael has chosen include the original Broadway casts of “Grand Hotel,” “Chicago,” “A Chorus Line,” and “La Cage Aux Folles.” One of his special memories comes from London and the original production of Stephen Schwartz’s “Children of Eden.”

Tune in this week for an hour of great music and fond memories as we let you know why we’re so thankful to have had the chance to see these shows.
