We almost missed it, but we’re heading back to school, vicariously of course, through the musicals on this week’s Dress Circle (8/24 7:00 p.m.). We’ve programmed thirteen songs from a dozen shows, many of which are new to our “Back to School” programs.

Sometimes, it seems like everything is “for the birds,” so we thought we’d turn to the birds ourselves on this week’s Dress Circle (7/13 7:00 p.m.). Once again, we had a great deal of fun mining our catalogue of musicals to bring you a variety of real, allegorical, and metaphysical birds from musicals like “Bloomer Girl,” “Lost in the Stars,” “Magdalena,” “The Spitfire Grill,” “Lady Be Good,” and “Sweeney Todd” along with several others with which you may or may not be familiar.

You know that we can’t pass up some “calendar art,” and on this week’s Dress Circle (5/11 7:00 p.m.), we’ve held true to our urges and compiled a show of songs about “mother” from the musicals for Mother’s Day.
-
Sadly, we won’t be hearing from any Quokkas on this week’s Dress Circle (12/29 7:00 p.m.) even if they are said to be the happiest animals on the planet, but what we will have is a program of “happy” songs to get you prepared for a Happy New Year.
-
We’re celebrating the career of Broadway leading lady Judy Kuhn on this week’s Dress Circle (10/20 7:00 p.m.) with songs from a variety of shows and recordings in which she was featured.
-
While we were working on a previous program, we got the idea for a playlist of songs from the musicals about "dreams," and we've mined fifteen musicals from stage and screen to fill that list.
-
We're turning to the musicals for songs about summer to either usher in or ward off the onslaught of summer weather. Join us for a playlist of 14 songs from stage and screen, many of which may be new to you.
-
Since it's been raining far too much in real life, we thought it only fair that it rain a bit on the radio, so we've programmed 14 songs about rain and raining from a variety of musicals.
-
This program is looking at four cast recordings that we purchased over the past 30 years or so and put away for "safe keeping." They recently surfaced when we cleaned (a little), and we thought we'd share them with you while we still knew where they were.

To celebrate Christmas, we've turned to musicals from Broadway and London as well as television and film for a charming program of joyful singing.
