For many, this time of year features a whirlwind of parties. We really don’t have first-hand knowledge of that, so we had to turn to the musicals on this week’s Dress Circle (12/28 7:00 p.m.) for some help with what parties might entail.
We thought we’d look at various aspects of party-going, from planning (“Pipe Dream”), to being invited (“The Girl Who Came to Supper”) to welcoming the guests (“The Wild Party”).
There will be happy partygoers (“Little Mary Sunshine,” “Lady, Be Good!”, “High Society,” and “Charlie Girl”).We’ve even got someone who wants to be the life of the party (“The Happy Time”) and one who deals with her situation by having a party in her head (“Gormenghast”).
