Long-time listeners to The Dress Circle know that we’re fond of “calendar art,” and this week’s program (11/25 7:00 p.m.) continues with that. We’re offering a “Halloween Prep” that features some of our favorite pieces from programs past.
We’ve programmed a dozen songs from stage and screen musicals and soundtracks that will hopefully get you in the mood for trick-or-treating, and if not, they should offer you an interesting hour of listening.
Our Broadway musicals include “Meet Me in St. Louis,” “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn,” “High Spirits,” “Young Frankenstein,” “Dance of the Vampires,” and “The Addams Family.”
From Hollywood, we’ve got music from “Casper” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
We’re rounding out our list of songs about ghosts, witches, vampires, ghouls, and more with songs from “A Tale of Cinderella,” “Which Witch,” “Captain Louie,” and “Shockheaded Peter.”
It’s a bit of seasonal fun on this week’s Dress Circle, and we hope you’ll join us this Sunday evening.
