'The Return of the Player': Hollywood Redux

The new novel The Return of the Player is writer Michael Tolkin's sequel to his 1988 Hollywood satire The Player, which was made into a hit film. Book critic Veronique de Turenne says the sequel is worth the wait — an unlikely study of love, faith, existential angst — and of course, the ugly side of making movies.
