A Tempo: Philanthropy and the Arts in 2018

Every year, The Giving USA Annual Report on Philanthropy shines a light on the choices Americans make when contributing to charitable causes and organizations. A collaboration of The Giving Institute and Indiana University Lilly School of Philanthropy, the report analyzes and breaks down trends in charitable giving, both in terms the sources of donations and the sectors that receive the contributions. This Saturday on A Tempo (8/31 at 7 pm), host Rachel Katz delves into the numbers in the recently released 2018 report, including the 0.3 percent increase in giving to the arts, culture and humanities (a 2.1 percent decline when adjusted for inflation) in conversations with Anna Pruitt, managing editor of Giving USA, and Laura MacDonald, Vice-Chair for Giving USA Foundation and founder of Benefactor Group.

Rachel Katz is the host of A Tempo which airs Saturdays at 7 pm.
