When the stages went dark for performing arts organizations, The Metropolitan Opera was among the first to offer regular online streams, sharing one production each day in a series that is now in its 12th week. This initiative was expanded to include educational opera streams for young people and educators in early April. Now as summer gets underway, the Met is launching yet another program to share opera with new audiences - its first ever Global Summer Camp, an eight-week online camp featuring activities centered on a new opera each week. Marsha Drummond, Director of Education and Engagement, discusses the program.
